Landshark from 2003-2006
Currently a sophmore at Boston University competing in Cross Country and Track & Field
How did Landsharks help prepare you for a successful future in Cross Country or Track & Field?
Landsharks taught me how to be a gracious competitor, something I think that every athlete should understand. At 9 years old, I learned how to be competitive but alsow how to respect my competition and that's a Landshark lesson that has served me well all the way into college athletics.
What do you value most from your time as a Landshark?
Landsharks was where I first began to love running. It's such a fun and healthy environment to learn about the sport and it was the first place I realized that I had a passion for running and wanted to take it seriously. Landsharks was such a great introduction into the world of competitive running and I give it a lot of creit for the success I've had.
What is your favorite Landsharks memory?
I loved all the trips I got to take with my Landshark frinds and teammates to compete in races. Because of the races we qualfied for, I got to see Chicago, Boston, Indianappolis, Salt Lake City, and so many other cool palces that I wouldn't have had an excuse to go to otherwise at that age. And of course I always had so much fun playing in the hotel pools after the races with my friends. I have such great memories from those Landshark trips!
